WHEN WILL I SEE DALLAS PROMISE LISTED IN MY FINANCIAL AID PACKAGE?
The review process of financial aid files for students participating in the Dallas County Promise Scholarship program will begin after the 12th day of class (Census Day) of the fall and spring terms. It is a manual review process and is anticipated to take 2-3 weeks; graduating seniors will be reviewed first, then other upperclassmen, and finally first semester students. Students enrolled in the summer term will have their files reviewed in July, after the last session census day for the term. Only completed financial aid applications will be reviewed for possible funding, this includes completing the verification process if selected. Some students might have an Estimated Dallas Promise listed in their financial aid package. This is just an estimated place holder and there is no action that the student would need to take.
